Anita Kurl Salon, a dynamic and rapidly growing salon located in Boston's vibrant South End, is actively searching for a Salon Coordinator. We are seeking an individual with salon and reception experience, coupled with a strong desire for a long-term commitment, to fulfill the crucial role of a Salon Coordinator (Full-Time Administrative Assistant). As we strive to provide our clients with the utmost care and elevate our business to new heights, we recognize the significance of your expertise in ensuring our salon's continued success.

We are looking for someone with a background in salon operations, office management, and administrative assistance. Your corporate skill sets will prove invaluable in our creative environment. Your responsibilities will encompass managing current business initiatives, implementing marketing strategies, and planning for future company growth and success.

This is a full time position with a Tuesday - Saturday schedule, with Saturdays being a requirement.

Responsibilities

Front Desk and Client Management:
o Managing Multiple Schedules and Coordinating Client Appointments
o Booking, canceling, rescheduling, and confirming appointments through our salon management system
o Controlling our Salon Waitlist
o Greeting & Providing Customer Service to Incoming Clients
o Observation, and regulation of missing and late appointments as well as employee-caused issues.
o Professionally Communicating via Telephone and Emails for our Guests
o Answering phone calls throughout the day in a polite and friendly manner (We are a fun place to be and we want everyone who calls to feel that vibe!)
o Executing the Cash Flow Procedures including Opening, During the Day, and Closing methods.
o Email & Text Communications

Inventory Management:
o Supply Ordering and Inventory of both Hair Supplies and Office Supplies
o Manage and observe product purchasing needs and requirements for ever-changing salon trends
o Assisting with Salon Housekeeping Needs & Maintenance
o Maintain the monthly organization of cleaning/window maintenance
o Maintain upkeep of the Salon Booking System as well as consistently research new and innovative salon systems.

Requirements

Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate should have strong administrative experience and familiarity to display the following abilities:

o Salon and Spa Industry Experience
o Microsoft Office Suite Experience, especially with Word and Excel
o Effective Time Management, Planning, and Prioritizing Abilities
o Punctuality, Professionalism, Flexibility, and Reliability
o Enjoyment in Organizing Items and Systems
o Demonstrate Excellent Multitasking Skills, Be Highly Organized, Self-Directed, and a Fast Learner
o Have Strong and Professional Communication Skills
o Great Attention to Detail
