Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by conducting thorough consultations, understanding clients' hair goals, and providing personalized recommendations.
• Ensure clients feel comfortable, valued, and confident throughout their experience.
• Perform high-quality haircuts, braiding, and styling for various hair types and textures, including blowouts, formal styling, and dry cutting.
• Provide color services such as highlights, balayage, color corrections, root touch-ups, and other specialized treatments.
• Guide clients in selecting the right hair care products and tools, ensuring they know how to use them for optimal, long-lasting results.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and well-organized workstation, tools, and salon areas, adhering to salon policies and state regulations.
• Cultivate lasting relationships with clients by providing excellent service and proactively scheduling appointments to encourage repeat business.
• Follow all salon policies related to safety, sanitation, and professional conduct, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including licensing and health standards.

Qualifications:

• At least one year of experience as a hairstylist in a salon, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in hairstyling, cutting, and coloring. Experience working with a variety of hair textures and styles is preferred.
• A valid cosmetology license (or equivalent) issued by the state of Massachusetts, meeting all legal and professional requirements to practice.
• Previous customer service experience with a proven ability to interact professionally and effectively with clients, addressing their needs and concerns.
• Proficient in a wide range of hairstyling techniques, including cuts, blowouts, braids, color applications (balayage, highlights, color corrections), and formal styling.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating hairstyling work across different hair types and textures, including specialized services like color corrections and special occasion styling.
• Skilled in managing time and appointments efficiently, ensuring quality service and punctuality while meeting salon goals.

Our Salon Hours:

• Tuesday - Friday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM
• Saturday - Sunday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• Mondays: Closed
