Job Description

Salon Cleaning Lead

This is going to be a solo position to start until duties/responsibilities are mastered. The goal is to transition this role into the management of a small cleaning team for the salon by spring 2025.

Responsibilities

• Daily Cleaning Tasks: Vacuum, steam, and mop floors; clean and sanitize spray rooms, salon mirrors, and salon equipment; empty trash bins and replace liners.
• Sanitization: Disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, restroom appliances, and waiting areas to maintain a high level of hygiene.
• Laundry Duties: Wash, dry, and replace salon towels, aprons, curtains as needed.
• Stock Management: Replenish cleaning supplies and report any inventory needs to the manager.
• Organizational Tasks: Ensure that all cleaning equipment and salon supplies are stored properly and that the salon is organized and clutter-free.
• Special Projects: Assist with deep cleaning projects and occasional rearrangements as required. This includes rinsing spray tan backdrops & filters; wiping down spray room walls; and disinfecting spray room furniture/supplies, and salon furniture.
• Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.

Skills and Requirements

• Experience: Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not required. Training will be provided.
• Skills: Attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently. Familiarity with cleaning techniques and safety protocols is a plus.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and lift objects up to 25 pounds. May require bending, kneeling, and reaching.
• Availability: Flexibility to work during/before/after salon hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
