Salon Front Desk/Receptionist

Job Description

We are looking for a friendly and organized person to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing appointments, and ensuring the smooth operation of the salon. If you are a detail-oriented, customer-focused individual with excellent communication skills, we would love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Greeting & Customer Service: Warmly greet clients as they arrive and ensure they feel welcomed and comfortable.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Manage and book appointments for salon services, ensuring efficient use of salon resources and staff.
  • Phone and Email Communication: Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and assist with client inquiries or service bookings.
  • Client Check-In & Check-Out: Check clients in for their appointments and process payments at the end of their visit, including handling cash, credit card, or mobile payment transactions.
  • Client Record Management: Maintain and update client records accurately, including personal information, service history, and preferences.
  • Retail Sales: Promote and sell salon retail products to clients, offering recommendations based on their needs.
  • Salon Organization: Ensure the front desk area and waiting area are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with stylists, technicians, and salon management to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
  • Handling Inquiries: Provide information on salon services, pricing, promotions, and upcoming events.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a customer service or receptionist role, preferably in a salon or spa setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of salon services and products is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using appointment booking software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance.

Preferred Skills

  • Computer (Mac) experience. Experience with STX/Inspire a plus
  • Sales experience or a passion for beauty and wellness products.
  • Ability to handle cash and process payments accurately.
